Being Human out of the Vicarious Humanity of Christ

Non-Christians often fail to recognize that for the genuine Christian being a Christian isn’t a political posture, it isn’t a societal construct, but instead, it is the very essence and fabric of who we are in Christ as human beings. You can’t deconstruct something that is grounded in the indestructible life of the risen God in Jesus Christ. It’s simply an impossible possibility. The irony is that people outside of Christ don’t realize that the ground of their humanity, just the same, is as it is for those who have repentantly recognized this, and submitted our lives to the triune God through the prior submission of God’s sacrifice for us in the humanity of the Man from Nazareth. When the reality of our very beings is fought against, the result is disorder and chaos.
