Amen, I am Still Cancer Free!

Just a quick word of praise to the LORD, and thank you to you all. I had my CT scan today—I hate those things—and praise the LORD, I am still cancer free!!! Now instead of 4 months between CT scans, my next one is in 6 months. My oncologist said that I have far exceeded the odds, already, with surviving my type of cancer; which only becomes more of an occasion and cause for worshiping the LORD. I feel so relieved, I can’t really express it in writing. I just want to say thank you to you all for lifting us up to the LORD, and entering boldly into the throne-room of grace for us. This life is an absolute gift; even with all of its trouble and travail; even with its everyday routine mundane stuff; this life is good, in Christ, and I realize even more that I ought to be doing good while there is still yet opportunity.

Praise our Triune God in Christ! amen.

Amen! Your comment made me think of Paul’s words ” to live is Christ and to die is gain.” We have such a wonderful hope that carries us forward, yet it is God’s will that we be fruitful here in this life. Even though his plan culminates in an eternal redemption of amazing things, He has not abandoned this world nor us in this life and so we press on for His glory and for the good works that He has created us to do.

I like Paul’s words; that was one of the passages the LORD encouraged me with while I had cancer (you know I memorized the epistle of Philippians before 🙂 ). Amen, it is amazing to think upon how short our life is here; we need to be really busy about our Father’s business, and realize we are just passing through this foreign land as ambassadors of Christ!
